First and Foremost, It Has to Work

No matter how noble the motivation, a project cannot be "sustainable" if it cannot be funded or operated in an economical way. The simple fact is that the majority of cleantech projects being promoted today will not pass this threshold economic test. Good intentions cannot overcome inexperience and unreasonable financial assumptions. Rotation was formed in 2010 by seasoned cleantech entrepreneurs with real world experience in the full panoply of sustainability based projects across the globe. Our combined decades of experience includes over 1,000 site locations on four continents and includes sustainable natural resource development and management projects, bioenergy, biofuels, waste to energy, carbon sequestration and recycling projects. Our constant focus is “triple bottom line” results (economically viable, environmentally friendly and socially responsible). However, the initial criteria must be economic viability because, first and foremost, it has to work.
